Im thinking of doing a monthly magazine with a theme looking at icons as well as upcoming comparisons although this will be hard as the photos need to be original therefore I wont be able to create just normal photos without taking into consideration of the mise en scene that needs to be in my photos. Im fortunate to have some live photos from real life gigs from what is alternative music and today Im going to see Kings Of Leon in Birmingham NIA so if i can manage to take some kind of photos i can take some photos and then use these. However acknowledging that the photos are a big part of the magazine , they need to be of quality and also the front cover image is unlikely to be a live shot.
I want to call my magazine 'live' along with some of the other names that I thought about with a really bold font and then perhaps even a house style of purple and yellow.
The magazine pictured (above) is of interest to me mainly the design which is very simplistic and the sort of thing I want to do with the masthead of 'wire' which contrasts the darkened 'stone background' which again contrasts the main cover image of the black hoody and the masthead appears bold and you can still see the information about the weeks news whilst the masthead dominates the cover.
