Peer Analysis

I asked 3 fellow students to analyse my magazine, following a sturdy criteria of things such as framing a shot , the mise-en-scene, the language or register as well as awareness and understanding evident from other research. All of the feedback I received was very positive and no responses were met with anything other than the level 3 or plus, reflecting a good publication and success , so far.

The main positives I received from the first assessment included..
-good 'frames' and use of colour around the picture
-good range and variety of shots, close ups as well as more distanced photos
-many pictures of live acts or musicians
-keeps colour scheme well - translating to a positive and evident house style
-good use of language and register
-good structure
-consistently aesthetically pleasing throughout , with clear evidence of research and awareness

Second assessment
-different range of photos/shots
-good location for pictures/ mise en scene / clever backgrounds
-no mistakes in the text, good article

Third assessment
- nice variety of shots
-good resizing and cropping
-also a few level 4 boxes highlighted, suggesting excellence in awareness and varieties in photos as well as a carefully constructed article.

to improve?

- the main feedback I received in order to improve was to look at maybe making certain aspects look a bit more music 'like', something I will look at now throughout my magazine to see where can be tweaked/changed.
