This double page spread comes from MOJO magazine, the other magazine which I'm analysing in detail in order to gain as much information and recognise what works well within a professional music publication.
In this double page spread its easily recognisable that its MOJO magazine, but why?

The magazine uses several images just like we have seen on the front cover and on the heavy contents page filled with all sorts of older images. The pages are covered with black and white and contrasting modern pictures as well as the use of a polaroid picture to signify that retrospective look and acknowledge the target audience that might just have a collection of polaroids themselves.
However the double page spread has a larger text to image ration than the other magazines we have seen by a vast amount suggesting a hugely different target audience, which is correct and more importantly obvious in this publication.

I do like the quote mark in the middle of the spread highlighting and pinpointing a certain section of the magazine to the reader however this isn't done so that reader doesn't read the rest of the article as their reader is likely to be solely interested in the article itself.
'A life in pictures' is also a nice feature which we can see is effective and portrays almost a timeline like feel to the spread again identifying the audience and giving them something that they can relate to as well as follow easily in terms of visually and via date order.
